What Is Matatabi DINO?

DINO is Pawdaz’s new multi-sensory cat toy — filled with sound, scent, and excitement.
Inside is 100% natural Matatabi (Actinidia polygama) powder made from the most aromatic branches of the Matatabi tree.
Matatabi contains essential oils that cats love to rub against, cuddle with, and chew on.
At 15.7 × 4.7 in (40 × 12 cm) and enhanced with bells and crinkle sounds, DINO is the perfect playmate for curious cats.

What Is Matatabi?

Research such as “Responsiveness of Cats to Silver Vine (Actinidia polygama), Tatarian Honeysuckle, Valerian and Catnip” shows that eight out of nine cats respond positively to Matatabi, displaying signs of relaxation and happiness.

But what if your cat is part of the small minority that doesn’t react to it?
That’s why DINO was designed with bright, cat-perceptible colors and crinkle + bell sounds to attract attention even in non-responsive cats.
These sensory elements help with visual and auditory enrichment, supporting healthy socialization — which in turn reduces unwanted behaviors.

Materials & Production

Each DINO toy is sewn by the Women’s Solidarity Sewing Workshop in Bursa, using durable, natural Bursa fabrics strong enough to resist bites and clawing.
Its inner lining prevents Matatabi powder from leaking while maximizing scent release.
Because of its textile exterior, some wear may occur over time depending on play intensity and claw sharpness.

Vet Approved

From the stuffing materials to the fabric selection, every component of DINO was chosen and approved by Veterinarian Berk Güneş to ensure full safety for cats.

Usage Tips

Like all cat toys, DINO should be offered only during supervised playtime to maintain interest.
After 10–15 minutes of use, store it in its original package, away from moisture, heat, and direct light, and reintroduce it after a few days for renewed excitement.
