What Is Matatabi FISH?

FISH is Pawdaz’s new multi-sensory cat toy, packed with sound, scent, and excitement.
Inside is 100% natural Matatabi (Actinidia polygama) powder made from the finest branches of the Matatabi tree — loved by cats for its aromatic essential oils.
At 9.4 × 4.3 in (24 × 11 cm) and featuring both bell and crinkle sounds, FISH provides endless entertainment and relaxation for your cat.

What Is Matatabi?

Research such as “Responsiveness of Cats to Silver Vine (Actinidia polygama), Tatarian Honeysuckle, Valerian and Catnip” shows that eight out of nine cats respond positively to Matatabi, showing signs of happiness and calmness.

But what if your cat happens to be among the one in nine that doesn’t respond to Matatabi?
That’s why FISH was designed with bright, cat-perceptible colors, plus bells and crinkle sounds, to engage even those less sensitive to scent.
These features stimulate visual and auditory senses, supporting healthy socialization and reducing behavioral issues over time.

Materials & Production

Each FISH toy is handcrafted at the Women’s Solidarity Sewing Workshop in Bursa, using durable, natural Bursa fabrics strong enough to withstand biting and scratching.
Its inner lining prevents Matatabi powder from leaking, while maximizing scent diffusion.
Because of its textile exterior, slight wear over time is normal depending on your cat’s play style and claw sharpness.

From the inner stuffing to the outer fabrics, every component of FISH has been carefully selected and approved by Veterinarian Berk Güneş, ensuring it’s 100% safe for cats.

Usage Tips

Like all cat toys, FISH should be used only during supervised playtime to maintain your cat’s interest.
After 10–15 minutes, store it in its original package, away from moisture, heat, and direct light, and reintroduce it after a few days for renewed excitement.
