What Is Serin?

Serin is Pawdaz’s special temperature-adaptive mat designed for pets — it can be used warm or cool, depending on your pet’s needs.
It’s ideal for maintaining body temperature balance in any situation and can be used safely year-round.

Design & Structure

Each layer of Serin was designed by Veterinarian Berk Güneş to minimize heat loss while ensuring maximum comfort for cats and dogs.
Inside the mat are two large SerinGels, which can be easily heated or cooled as needed.

Thanks to the gels’ long heat-retention capacity, the reflective aluminum, EVA insulation layer, high-density foam, and the soft, water-repellent fabric cover, Serin provides the perfect surface for pets — comfortable, durable, and safe.

When Is It Needed?

Serin can be used to support your pet’s temperature regulation in any condition where their ideal body heat is affected — whether due to environment or metabolism. Examples include:

• During vet visits or travel on cooler days – place the mat warm under the carrier.

• After baths or grooming, when pets are more prone to catching a chill – use warm.

• In winter, for pets that love curling up near the radiator – place warm in their bed or favorite spot.

• For pregnant or nursing cats and dogs, providing gentle warmth to mothers and newborns.

• At picnics, the beach, or outdoor activities – use cool.

• On hot summer days, for relaxing on tiles, floors, or sinks – use cool.

• For senior pets or those with arthritis/myopathy, as cold therapy (consult your veterinarian).

• For feverish pets, as cold support (under veterinary guidance).

Materials & Layers

Serin consists of five functional layers, each serving a specific purpose while enhancing one another:

1. Outer Layer: Soft, water-repellent, machine-washable fabric.

2. High-Density Foam: Provides comfort and cushioning.

3. SerinGel Layer: Two large heat- or cold-retaining gel packs.

4. Reflective Aluminum Layer: Prevents heat transfer and boosts insulation.

5. EVA Foam Base: Non-slip and insulating bottom layer.

The cover is machine-washable at 30 °C (86 °F) with the zipper closed.

How to Use

1. Open the hidden zip compartment and remove the SerinGel packs.

2. To Heat:
    – Warm in the microwave for 1–2 minutes or
    – Boil in hot water for 10 minutes.

3. To Cool:
    – Place in the freezer for 50–60 minutes.

4. Once ready, return the SerinGel packs to their pockets and close the zipper and Velcro section securely.
