What Is QUM?

Every ingredient in Qum has been carefully selected by Veterinarian Berk Güneş, ensuring it’s completely safe for animals.

The litter is 100% plant-based and does not clog toilets unless disposed of in excessive amounts.

How to Use

• Fill the litter box with 2.3–2.7 in (6–7 cm) of Qum.

• For a single cat, replace completely every 12–15 days, depending on usage.

• Scoop out clumped waste daily or every other day using a wide-mesh scoop.

Switching from Old Litter to Qum

When transitioning from a previous litter, keep everything else the same — the same litter box, room, and placement — only change the litter itself.

For an easier transition:

1. Start with a base layer of 6–7 cm Qum,

2. Add 20–30% of your old litter on top.

This keeps the environment familiar and helps your cat adapt easily.

For cats that resist change, use a gradual transition over five litter changes, decreasing the old litter ratio each time:

Kittens and adaptable cats may not need this process at all — Qum’s soft texture and dust-free formula make it ideal even for first-time litter users.
